Bomanite® - the original cast-in-place, colored and imprinted architectural concrete paving. This product provides the client with an imprinted pattern that has a smooth surface between the joint lines. The imprinting tools produce patterns in the surface of the concrete in much the same way as a cookie cutter cuts patterns in cookie dough. Simulates most smooth tiles, new brick and certain stone materials.

Bomacron® - A textured version of the original, this product is also cast-in-place, colored and imprinted, but provides the added dimension of texture and relief between the joint lines. Simulates a wide variety of natural materials including slate, granite, limestone, sandstone, wood and cobblestone.

Imprinted Concrete Design Options

There is a wide array of options available for imprinted and stamped concrete designs that can mimic the look of more expensive brick and stone inlayed designs, or clients may choose a custom look to match and blend with the elements of the rest of the building. Complex designs incorporating steps, courtyards, and fountains can be achieved when patterns are pressed into the concrete. Concrete provides the perfect canvas for creating an economical replica of more expensive materials, and yet still maintaining a very natural, authentic look.

Maintenance of Imprinted Concrete

Imprinted and stamped concrete is an incredibly durable surface that is an excellent choice for interior or external surfaces. The final result is also very easy to care for.

Resealing of the concrete surface is required every few years to help protect the surface from stains and abrasion. It will also help protect against moisture and sun damage of colored surfaces. The required maintenance schedule for reapplication will depend upon the amount of traffic on and environment of the surface.
